Support Worker for Transportation (a self employed role)

We are looking for a reliable support worker to assist with transportation for an individual commuting to work.

Job Details:

• The role involves picking up an individual from their home in Bressay and transporting them to their workplace in Lerwick.

• The individual is unable to drive at the moment and requires transport two days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday).

• A 4-wheel drive vehicle is essential, as the house is accessed via a track.

Schedule:

• Morning: Pick-up in Bressay to catch the 8:30 AM ferry (requires taking the 7:15 AM ferry into Bressay).

• Evening: On Tuesdays, no return journey is needed. On Wednesdays, return transport is required to catch the 4:20 PM ferry into Bressay and the 5.15 from Lerwick.

Requirements:

• Must have a clean driving license.

• Own a 4-wheel drive vehicle capable of driving on a track.

• Be a member of the PVG scheme.

• Must be self-employed and able to invoice for work.

Payment & Travel:

• The role is paid, including travel time if commuting to Bressay.

• The position can be shared between multiple people if needed.
