We are looking for a kind, patient, and understanding Personal Assistant (PA) to support an 11-year-old autistic boy with a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile.
He is a very happy and kind young person, with a genuine passion for aircrafts, aviation, computer games, and video making.
He has a very curious personality in the things that interests him
He struggles with anxiety and can get overwhelmed at times, so he needs patience, flexibility, and a calm approach, he responds best when given choice and autonomy.
Hours
• 2–5 hours per week
• Afternoons/evenings after school (flexible)
• Occasional weekends
Your Role
• Build a trusting and positive relationship.
• Support him in his interests (computers, gaming, aviation, video making, etc.).
• Encourage his confidence and independence.
• Ensure online safety when using computers/games.
Who We’re Looking For
• Someone with a genuine interest in computers, computer games, and ideally video making or aviation.
• Knowledge of programming, coding, or game design would be a bonus.
• Awareness of online safety.
• No prior PA experience needed - just patience, creativity, and a willingness to get to know and support his personality.
• Someone who understands and respects neurodiversity.
• You work with intention, not expectation.
