Support for PAs becoming a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme
From 1 April 2025, it will be a legal requirement for individuals to be members of the PVG scheme if they are working in a regulated role with children, protected adults, or both. This now includes Personal Assistants.
From 1st April – For PAs, Shetland Community Connections will offer a service to counter-sign PVG applications on behalf of private employers.
This service costs £5, which will be included in the invoice along with the Disclosure Scotland fee. Employers can claim this expense through your Direct Payment package.
If you would like SCC to support you, as an employer or a PA, to do this then please get in touch and we can arrange a suitable time to see the documentation of any applicants.
