A thoughtful, creative, and knowledgeable 25-year-old man in Lerwick is looking for a Personal Assistant to provide around 2 hours of support per week (flexible, weekdays or weekends).

He brings curiosity, strong attention to detail, and a great enthusiasm for learning and exploring new ideas. With a passion for history (especially WWII), music, films, and gaming, he enjoys deep conversations and opportunities to share and develop his interests.

He is looking for a PA who can support him to build confidence, strengthen social connections, and continue developing independence through calm, consistent encouragement.

Role:

• Encourage confidence in social and community settings

• Enjoy conversations, active listening, and sharing ideas

• Support reading and communication skills in positive, practical ways

• Join in local outings and occasional trips further afield

• Provide reassurance and person-centred encouragement, focusing on strengths and growth

Ideal PA:

• Patient, empathetic, and a great listener

• Open-minded and comfortable with a wide range of topics

• Curious and willing to share in new experiences

• Able to build trust, offer gentle motivation, and celebrate progress

• Experience with autism/social confidence is welcome but not essential
